Mission
St. Agatha Catholic School is a faith-centered
community committed to the development of the
whole child, fostering students who are dedicated
to a lifetime of learning and service to others.
Philosophy
St. Agatha Catholic School is an academic and
faith communityrooted in the traditions and
teachings of the Catholic Church.
We recognize parents as the primary educators of their children.
It is a privilege and a responsibility to work in partnership with parents to educate and nurture
their children as our students. While the school experience should not and cannot replace the learning
that occurs at home, it can supplement and complement. We build upon the family foundation and
strive to support the family mission.
We acknowledge the role of the whole community, family school and parish, in ensuring that each student reaches his or her full potential as a child of God.
We draw upon the resources of our community to support and enhance the education of students at St.
Agatha Catholic School.
We endeavor to develop the mind, body, and spirit of each and every child.
St. Agatha Catholic School provides a safe and nurturing environment for children to flourish. Our
program is directed toward the mastery of academic skills, while allowing students the opportunity to develop a range of individual talents and abilities. We encourage and expect our students to work toward their academic potential and to grow in their faith and knowledge of Jesus Christ. We are committed to
the continual improvement of the curriculum.
We believe teachers are charged with the responsibility of being guides and role models, not just in
academic subjects, but in life skills as well.
We model successful behaviors and teach specifically to them, seeking to cultivate and environment
where respect for each child is demonstrated through words and actions. We teach the children
strategies to peacefully resolve the problems and challenges of daily life. We are also committed to the professional growth of our staff as educators, improving the skills that allow them to reach and nurture
their students.
